Sandia Mountain Retreats believes that:

In maintaining and caring for the Sandia Conference Grounds and its facilities,
we can provide a safe, attractive setting for
youth and church camps, conferences and retreats
o
By providing facilities and support to those who conduct programs
in youth camping, youth development, spiritual enrichment
and worship
at the Sandia Conference Grounds, we are fulfilling our purpose and
mission.
o
We seek to be
in covenant relationship with churches, schools, and organizations
which serve youth and/or those who are
interested in the maintenance of a semi-wilderness setting.
We are eager to create opportunities for ecological education
and environmental preservation.
o
We hold an ecumenical outlook while promoting Christian
values
o
The Sandia Conference Grounds (SCG) are owned by the Presbytery of Santa Fe and
are leased by Sandia Mountain
Retreats.
SMR is
Presbyterian-related by virtue of its connection with the PoSF, its
members and individual churches and
affiliated organizations.
o The PoSF is vitally
interested in the maintenance and operations of the Grounds, particularly encouraging
“cooperation with
and involvement of the youth of the Presbytery of Santa Fe”, and the Grounds
being made available to groups designated
by the Lessor,
such as the PoSF; and Presbyterian churches of the PoSF.
o Through the grace of God, Sandia Mountain
Retreats will endeavor to provide a setting at the Sandia Conference where
individuals,
families and groups may find a place where they
can find solace and peace. This healing sanctuary can provide
a place of shelter, peace and solitude where one can reflect, study, meditate,
pray and be renewed.
